Valentines Day this year was especially nice. It was the first year my husband and I actually got to spend the day together! The past two years the Marine Corps has borrowed him for their own use, and I've been stuck watching chick flicks eating far too many carbohydrates followed by overly sugared ice cream. This year however, was delightfully different! We packed up our stuff and our baby and we headed west to the coastline. We started up in Astoria and worked our way down the 101, resting our heads at night in Cannon Beach. We had a traditional wintry, rainy day...followed by a stunningly beautiful sunny one, and ending with a cold overcast sky. Being an Oregonian - I never usually mind rain, so this getaway could not have been more perfect. Not to mention I had my two loves with me and got to spend some quality family time together making some great memories. I edited up some of the pictures I took (only a fraction of the over 400 I took)...but I thought I'd share a few, just because! Hope you all had a lovely "love" day too, and if you're one of those bitter people who always reminds everyone having a great day on Valentine's day that it's a Hallmark holiday - well. You stink.
